Q. How long does it take to get my e-commerce site online?
The amount of time it takes to get a new store up and running varies from retailer to retailer, as each has different needs. Unlike other service providers, Sellsonic is able to reuse a core common infrastructure so our development time and cost savings are unmatched. In most cases, the process, from planning the layout and design to going live, should take no longer than six weeks.
Q. How are orders processed on my site? When do I get paid?
- The Customer comes to your web site and orders products from your online catalog
- Using the suppliers inventory levels we prevent backorder items from entering the order fulfillment pipeline at the time the customer tries to make the order. By eliminating the 'backorder' problem at the beginning of the process we reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction.
- The order is reviewed by our customer support team to reduce fraudulent orders.
- The supplier(s) is given an order notification to ship the selected products to the customer's address. You can also have your own custom catalog in which case you will receive the supplier shipping notification for these items.
- The supplier confirms receipt of the order and product availability within 1 business day, or we beat them up.
- Supplier provides a tracking number which is documented in the ticket system and emailed to the customer
- The customer card is charged and all funds go into a dedicated Sellsonic transaction account.
- The supplier presents to Sellsonic an invoice for the products shipped
- Sellsonic reconciles the invoice against the actual items ordered, then sends a check to the supplier for the items shipped. If you are the supplier for an item then the item cost is added to your account and sent to you with you payment.
- Selsonic subtracts it's fee and the credit card fee from the transaction revenue. The net profit is aggregated with your other orders and paid to you by check. Typically we send out checks once a month when the total amount is over $250.
- If there is a problem with availability of the item, we will contact the customer and determine if they would like to wait for the item to come in, chose an alternate item, or cancel that part of the order.
- If there is a problem after the order is delivered, we will work with the customer to arrange for a return and refund, or an exchange.
- If there is a chargeback, we will work with the merchant processor in an effort to recover the funds.
